Established in 2016, the White Plains Wombats mission is to promote the growth and development of the game of Rugby League by providing education about and facilitating participation in the traditions of Rugby League, amateur sport, citizenship and sportsmanship, on the local, national and international level.
In order to achieve its mission, the White Plains Wombats will serve as a proactive organizing and governing body for amateur Rugby in the County of Westchester in the State of New York, the County of Fairfield in the State of Connecticut, and in all surrounding areas. We will promote participation in the sport by managing adult level programs. We will further promote participation by
establishing training and coaching programs for local high school and collegiate Rugby players.
We will provide playing and training facilities for its programs, and will seek to develop youth programs. It will seek to host and promote regional, national and international competition. Finally, it will promote and participate in worthy community service activities, and from such activities seek positive public recognition for the White Plains Wombats organization, its membership, the sport of Rugby League and amateur athletics in general.
In addition, we aim to be compete and win at a high level in the USARL competition.
